About Aluminum Service Entrance (SER) Cable
Round Type SER service-entrance cable for carrying utility power from the service point into the building distribution system. Compact-stranded 8000-series aluminum conductors are insulated with sunlight-resistant XHHW / XHHW-2, wrapped with reinforcement tape, and finished with a gray sunlight-resistant PVC jacket. Rated 600V for wet or dry locations to 90°C.

- 600 V rated, compact-stranded 8000-series aluminum alloy conductors
- Sunlight-resistant Type XHHW / XHHW-2 insulation, 90°C wet or dry
- Reinforcement tape over conductors for strength and a uniform round profile
- Gray sunlight-resistant PVC outer jacket
- Two-, three-, or four-conductor assemblies with a bare neutral; phase conductors identified by black, black/red stripe, black/white stripe, and black/blue stripe
Standards: ASTM B800, ASTM B801 / B836 (SIW), NEC Article 338 (NFPA 70).
